The Beaked Sea Snake is one of the most venomous snakes either on land or in the sea In fact, scientists have estimated its venom to be 4 to 8 times more lethal than that of a cobra It is thought that one drop of it would be enough to kill three men The venom of this species attacks the muscles of the body, causing extreme pain and even death if the victim is not treated These snakes are most common around the coast and coastal islands of India

  • The Belcher sea snake

The Belcher sea snake is the most poisonous sea species since its venom is 100 times more deadly than the most poisonous terrestrial species However, it is not dangerous to humans because it rarely bites people and does not release all its venom when it bites This means that only one quarter of all bitten humans will be poisoned Most of the people who have been bitten by this snake are fishermen who handle the fishing nets Although considered the most venomous snake in the world, this has never been officially proven
